It’s Care

Odd Taste

And Food

The Child I Am
Artist Statement
“My work focuses on chaos, emotions, and memory. I use vintage papers, layering, and fragmentation along with found language to reflect on how we are built, disrupted, and reassembled over time. The pieces chosen for Rawhead were influenced by the information in the Epstein files. “It’s care” was my response to reading the diary entries of a girl who was forcibly raped and impregnated multiple times. She asks about her baby, “Where is she?” and that question has stayed with me: Where is she? Where is the baby? The other pieces work through my thoughts at the time. “Odd taste” was a direct challenge to the idea of god, or at least to the belief of one who would sit by while things like this happened.”
