In the Witch’s House

Alice Lockhart is a London based artist and illustrator who studied Illustration at Falmouth University before completing the Drawing Year at the Royal Drawing School. Working primarily in pen and ink, she builds images that capture moments of emotional intensity through dramatic lighting and detailed mark making. Underpinned by her observational drawing practice and interest in folk and fairy tales, she seeks to make old stories resonate and come to life again. Her work has been shown with Pulp Collective, Appach Gallery, Alice Black Gallery, and in The Royal Drawing School’s End of Year Exhibition and Christie’s The Best of the Drawing Year.
